Standard returns — fourteen days
Unused, unopened products can be returned within fourteen days of delivery for a full refund of the product price. The customer covers return shipping on standard returns. Refunds are issued in Canadian dollars to the original payment method within five to seven business days of receipt and inspection.
“Unused” means the product has not been switched on with a battery installed and shows no marks of handling beyond what is needed to inspect it. Original packaging, manuals, and accessories should be included and undamaged.
Defective, damaged, or incorrect items
Different rules apply when a product arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect:
- Damaged in shipping — we open a carrier claim and send a replacement. Save the packaging until we confirm; carriers sometimes ask to inspect.
- Wrong item received — we cover return shipping and reship the correct item priority once the wrong one is in the mail back to us.
- Defective on arrival — treated as a warranty claim. See the warranty page for the process.
Exchanges
If you ordered the wrong model and the item is unused, we can swap it for another product of equal or greater value (with the difference paid by the customer). Same fourteen-day window. The simplest path is usually to refund the first order and place a fresh one for the right model.
Items that are not returnable
- Used products that have been switched on with a battery installed and show normal use.
- Lithium-ion batteries once the seal has been broken (a transport-safety rule, not a Canada Flashlights preference).
- Final-sale or clearance items, where flagged on the product page.
- Custom-engraved or specially-ordered items.
How to start a return
Contact us through the contact form or by email at info@canadaflashlights.com with the order number and the reason for the return. We will respond with a return authorization and the address to ship to. Returns sent without a return authorization may be refused or delayed.
